Not everyone needs a fancy video to get the answers they need.
Sometimes it’s a well-designed document that provides their answers.
Infographics

Audience: Faculty and Staff Beginning of Term Meeting
Objective: The goal was to help faculty and staff better understand certain unique experiences and perspectives of the incoming class of freshmen>
Platform: PowerPoint
Overview: This infographic served as a discussion guide to accompany a presentation to faculty and staff at the August in-service meeting in 2021. As new classes come and go, we often forget that younger generations do not share the same experiences and therefore, do not understand many of the references and examples educators have used in their classes successfully for years.
Flyers

Audience: University Students
Objective: Inform students of a new writing aid.
Platform: Canva
Overview: When TurnItIn releases their new Draft Coach tool for Microsoft Word, we needed to inform students that it was available and to provide them with access to tutorials explaining how to use it. This one flyer provided an overview of the tool as well as QR codes that directed students to YouTube video tutorials and PDF guides provided by TurnItIn.
Manuals

Objective: To accompany a live, remote training session on managing the Blackboard Grade Center.
Platform: MS Word, Screen Capture Tools
Overview: The Blackboard Grade Center tends to be a stumbling block for faculty who aren’t comfortable with technology and don’t spend enough time in the Grade Center (managing grades outside of the LMS) to be at ease in the environment. This document provided them a step-by-step guide that they could follow during the live training as well as a reference for them for after.
